Upload: How can I upload my photos to Pixum (Windows / Mac / Linux)?
At Pixum, you can upload your photos easily and quickly.
Simply click on „Upload new photos“ (under „My Pixum“ > „My photos“)
and you can already start choosing and uploading your photos from your computer!
Additionally, you can also choose from several other methods to upload your photos:
By clicking on a certain option, you can have a look at a closer description.
We recommend uploading photo files in the JPG format which is perfectly suitable for uploading because it was designed for storing and uploading and thus only has a small size (compared to other formats).
Furthermore, you can also upload the following formats:
Please make sure to always upload files of those formats (especially TIFF) in the correct colour space (RGB) because you cannot use files of the colour space CMYK!
If any problems arise from uploading those file formats, you can simply change your file to JPG by opening it in an image editing programme (like the free software Irfanview) and saving it as JPG. But you can also avoid this step by making your camera automatically save all photos as JPG files (as many modern cameras provide such an option).
You can only upload files between 50KB and 50MB!
If you have any problems uploading JPG files, you might need to check your internet connection and make sure it is stable (e.g. by using a connection cable instead of wireless) .
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our customer service that is always willing to help you!
You can find your photos in the inbox of your account where they are stored for 21 days after uploading (and 7 additional days in the trash). Simply log in to your Pixum account and go to „My Pixum“ and „My Photos (Inbox)“. If you want to store your photos permanently, simply place them into an online album.
If you already created an album for your photos, you will find them in your Inbox at the lower left after logging in.
If you do not find your photos in the inbox, there are two possible explanations:
- Your upload was more than 21 days ago (you can still find your photos in the trash for up to 28 days after uploading them)
- If you do not log in to your Pixum account before uploading your photos, they will not be stored on our website when you close your internet browser or restart your computer.
In those cases you need to upload your photos again.
In order to avoid double uploads, please always log in to your Pixum account before uploading photos and then place them into an album to store them permanently.
