Hanging up your wall art: Installing the screw and the clamp system

The screw system and the clamping system are the suspension solutions offered up by Pixum. They give your Wall Art a particularly refined touch thanks to the covers with a stainless steel finish which is visible at the front. Ideal for gallery prints, the clamping system is a sensible option as the high-quality image does not have to be drilled through. However, when you hang up your wall art, you must be particularly precise with the screw system. Read here to find out how it works step by step:

Your Wall Art in just a few simple steps

Step 1: Determine the location for your wall art

First, check where your wall art is going to hang. For this step, ask a helper to place the picture against the wall so you can check where would be best to hang it. You can rely on proven concepts like the golden angle to achieve a particularly harmonious overall look. The picture should be hung at exactly two thirds of the wall height.

Step 2: Attach the wall bracket to the wall art

The wall mounting is supplied with your wall art in individual parts. For the screw system, you must insert the hollow screw from the front through one of the drill holes in the picture and then screw it into the small tube on the back.

If you're using the clamping system, you must also connect the hollow screw inside the tube to the small tube, but without taking into account the wall art. Insert the long screw through the hollow screw in both systems.

Step 3: Make markings on the wall

Now it is important that you work with great care. Measure the screw-to-screw distances in the screw system and transfer them exactly on to the wall. These are specified by the pre-drilled holes in the wall art. In the case of the clamping system, on the other hand, you first determine exactly where the clamping points are going to sit later on. Again, measure from screw to screw. However, since these are going to be on the side of the wall art in the clamping system, the distance corresponds approximately to the width or the height of the wall art.

Warning: The pre-positioned spacers in the clamping system and the screw system only fit when you?re hanging up the picture during this step.

Step 4: Time to drill the holes

Use your machine drill and drill a hole for each part of the suspension system at the height of the wall markings. Insert the supplied anchors into all of the holes. The next step depends, in turn, on the type of suspension:

Screwing system: ow hang the image on the wall by inserting the long screw that has already been guided through the hollow screw into the drill holes. Fix the screws using the drill. Insert the screw cover on the front panel.

Clamp system:Insert the assembled clamps into the drill holes using the long screws. Use the drill to drive the screws into the wall until the clamps are secure. Cover with caps afterwards.
